Medical to Offer TB Testing for SLATE Volunteers The Corporate Employee Health Services Department (Corporate- SA 1) is again offering TB testing for the employees in the State Farm Learning and Teaching Exchange (SLATE) substitute teacher program. This service is available for those: - considering attending a future workshop (dates yet to be determined) - who attended past workshops but didn't get tested at that time - had a TB test last year, but need to get it renewed. (TB tests are current for 12 months). When are the tests offered? First date is: Aug. 11 and 12, 2008 from 9:30 to 11:30 and from 1:00 to 3:00 (No appointment necessary) Reading of the TB test will take place on Aug 13 and 14 and will be scheduled when the test is administered. Second dates: Feb 9 and 10 for test. Feb 11 and 12 for reading A return visit is required 48-72 hours after testing is initiated for the reading of the TB test. Return visit appointments should be made at the time of the testing. At the return visit the employee will be provided with a form verifying they have had a TB test. If you are unable to take advantage of this opportunity to obtain your TB testing during these times, you can choose to obtain the testing at your local Health Department, or your personal physician.
